Fried Apples


INGREDIENTS

2 Granny Smith Apples...cored, peeled and sliced

4 Dates...chopped

2 tbs Bacon Fat or fat of choice

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tsp Lemon Juice

Pinch of Nutmeg

Melt fat in skillet and add apples, lemon juice and dates. Cover and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and caramelized. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and toss to coat. Add an extra squeeze of lemon for enhanced flavor.
